Goodbye Good Sam...

Sophie said Byebye to her first daycare today and will be moving on to her new daycare on Monday.
Why? Because its Chinese, cheaper and they provide food. I'm sad because she has been always happy at Good Sam so   I hope she will be just as happy at the new one.
Sad to say Byebye to one of Sophie's besties-Jakie.
Giving Sophie a Hi-5!

Mother's Day from Good Sam

The daycare made this for Mother's Day. Too cute. I think they use ladybug because she's in the ladybug room. Oh that means those from the froggies room are froggies...

Sophie in The 3 Musketeers in Buggy Ride

These 3 kiddos at daycare always hang out together in the late afternoons. The other 2 kids are actually from the ladybug room meant for older babies. The boy on the left is Jakie who used to be in the nursery with Soph.

Friends at daycare

Soph hangs out with a few kiddos in the nursery. There was Jacob, a cute ten month old who is always trying to escape. He even crawls to me. He has since moved on to the older babies room.
And there is Charlie who is one day younger than Soph. Her mom works at the daycare too so she is only there for half a day and can get breastmilk as and when she wants. Lucky her. Here is Sophie hanging out with Charlie. Sophie is using the boppy because she still needs support sitting. Charlie is sitting up nice and tall and I heard she is even pulling to stand.
The story of the photos that day goes something like this. Charlie offered a rubber ducky to Sophie. But just as Sophie was going to stuff the ducky into the mouth, Charlie snatched it back so she could chew on it. Funny.
And then there is four month old Caitlin who just joined a couple of weeks ago. I heard she cries a lot because she is used to being carried. Poor girl, I hope she gets over it soon otherwise her crying might disturb Sophie's naps! She kind of looks like a baby at one of our Gymboree classes. I have yet to see the mom to verify.

Soph loves buggy rides at daycare

This is what her teacher Ms Laura told me. She said she squeals n giggles when she goes on her rides. When I picked her up today, she just came back from her ride with Ms Molly. An older boy was sitting in the front while she was in the backseat.

Daycare Day Three

On her first day, she cried a fair bit and only took a 20minute nap. At least she drank all her milk (sometimes she's too distracted and refuses to drink when she's in a new environment). Back home, she was in a happy mood and caught up on her zzz so I felt more reassured.
On her second day, she took two naps of 20min and 30min. Unfortunately Ms Laura had to hold her to sleep because she would not sleep in her crib. She usually won't let me hold her to sleep, she would rather lie down to sleep at home.
Just dropped her off for day 3. She was crying when we left because some other teacher was holding her instead. Duh. I hope she can have better naps today.

S Goes to Daycare on Monday

This is it! It's Friday! And the last weekday that I will really get to spend carefree with S before she starts daycare on Monday. Me who prefers to take care of S myself. Me who prefers not to have the PILs take care of S is going to leave her in the hands of strangers. No more Gymboree. No more scourging for deals with mama. No more target trips. No more leisurely walks around the neighbourhood in a carrier. No more being mall rat.
On Monday, S starts a new chapter in her life. She's a big girl now.
