Food fun

This is Sophie having noodles. She loves stuffing them into her mouth even though she can't seem to eat any-they're too long!
And she has carefully arranged the corns and peas on the table (check out the pink circle).

First Steps!

From lying down, to flipping, army crawling to crawling, baby Sophie is on to her first steps!
dd is VERY lucky to see this first and live and capture it on tape. For me, I only got to see it at work. Oh well, better than nothing. Woes of a working mom.
And there she is, shuffling her feet along, stopping a couple of times to do a downward-facing-dog. Haha.
The gramps also caught a few glimpses of her shifting her feet and pivoting on Skype.
Wow wow wow

Swinging her feet

Yet another sickly weekend. Sophie started having a fever on Friday. We tried to keep it down with fever meds, but she was shivering in the middle of the night, so we rushed her to Emergency. The doctor checked her pee, and all was normal. So maybe it's viral fever again. We went home and alternated with 2 types of fever meds. Finally she stopped having those nasty fevers on Sunday. Phew.
But little Sophie developed an acute case of crankiness, fussiness that didn't go away with her fevers. She was really sensitive and touchy. Of course, mama always has to come up with new tricks to keep the tot happy.
So in comes the green chair. So much fun, swinging her feet, tapping her feet. She had snacks sitting in her chair, walking around it. She had to climb onto the chair in order to sit back down in it, so funny.

Kidney ultrasound

All clear on the kidney ultrasound! So probably the UTI is a one-off incident (hope so!).As usual, the ever sensitive Sophie did not like the ultrasound at all, crying for a good half hour.

Cheerios make her Cheery

Sophie says "Nothing like a nice bunch of cheerios to start my day!(She gets them just because she had a nasty dose of antibiotics earlier.)
"Crunch! Crunch!"
"Wait! Do you have more?!"
"All done!"
Like the new hair cut I gave her last night?

Hello Spring!

Sophie is back to her perky self after a four-day ordeal of recurring high fevers. Suspected UTI from the large amount of white blood cells in her pee. And the urine culture had a crap load of bacteria-signifying some contamination in the urine sample but still sufficient to indicate that it was probably UTI. Good thing the doctor started her on antibiotics early-these medicine soldiers provided her own less than adequate antibodies with reinforcements, killing off those nasty bacteria and bringing her back to health. She is all back to being a curious cat again, nosing her way around.
