Morher's Day

I was looking forward to Soph's Mother's Day card this year. Daycare asked me to bring a photo of me and Soph to school so I knew they were making something.

A few days ago, when we were nearing school, she started whining about not wanting to go. I reminded her that she had to go finish up her card for me. She said ok and stopped whining. Wow, it must be something she's working hard at school, that's why she was willing to go back and complete it, I thought. 

And the teachers presented me with her handmade card, well the scribbly parts at least. I love all her scribbles (except those on the sofa and story books and ...).

And also some carnations that she stuck into the pot herself!
