Time to get a little creative when you want to save on stuff to tie your curtains together. What do u call those? Curtain strings?! These are my curtain bibs!

Full term mei mei

"Hello full term mei-mei!" From guilty mom who only posted ONCE about u. Tsk tsk.

Can you see her face with a pig-like nose? Since her head is down, it's almost impossible to get nice 3D pics. No wonder the ideal time to take 3D pictures is sometime in the second trimester. 

We had quite a few detailed ultrasounds due to the low PAPP-A hormone. At last week, mei mei is an estimated 5lb 3ounces and doctor estimates her final weight to be between 6lb 3ounces-7lb ounces. I thought this was perfectly fine, but the way he said it made me feel like I should be concerned. 

My pelvic area is in continuous pain now-lying, sitting and standing. There is no comfortable position for me! Anyway three more weeks to go. I hope Sophie will love mei-mei too.

Mid-autumn fest at cabrillo

This is our kind of ghostly mid-autumn festival. Too dark to take nice photos!

And what does a toddler know about lanterns!

As usual, Soph acts weirdly in front of the camera. Cheap paper lantern filled with tea lights for safety. Hope we'll do better with Yee-ma's Thomas the train lanterns next year!

Toddler Independence Tales 1

The three steps of getting into a car and buckling up herself. Sophie the mighty toddler can do it all!

Step 1: Climbs into car. It sure ain't easy with daddy's new car. Time to use some bicep and abs!

Step 2: Gets into seat and buckles first set of buckles <click!> (tucks Sofia stickers safely by her side first)

Step 3: Buckles second of buckles. <click> <click> This is more challenging and she just mastered it. She hasn't squished her fingers or thighs from buckling this but I think it will happen one day.

Dolly's shoes so funny

When Sophie gets home, she will usually park her shoes on top of the shoe cabinet.

And so she decided that's where Dolly's shoes should go too. Haha.

Off to the beach again.

Its labour day weekend!

I decided to take the heat and go to the beach today. So we ended up at Capitola beach. 

Sophie first refused to walk on the sand. She was complaining that sand was getting into her crocs. So we had to carry her to the spot where we set up our umbrella and chair. Yay, finally used the new beach chair we bought on sale after summer LAST year! 

And then she refused to walk to the sea to get some water. Scared of the crashing waves and the vast unknown horizons. 

"Daddy nooo....."

Finally, they got down to playing with the sand.
