Corporate holiday party
No longer need to be envious of people showing off their Yahoo-Google-blahblah-so-many-fun-things holiday party on Facebook because now I also have Samsung holiday party!

Olivia turns one!
Olivia gets a snack n some cake at daycare!
However, she had some hives for the next few days. Is it because of the cake? We don't know. But it comes after her afternoon nap and lasts about one hour each time for a few days. No hives today so we will see. My other guesses are viral infection and change in weather. It doesn't seem to bother her thankfully.
And then... Lego party on Sunday!
Home made smash cake! Made from no butter, no eggs, and no sugar. Frosting is actually yogurt and apple sauce haha.

11 months pumping award
A little late in giving myself this...
And this is definitely one last pumping award.
To persevere to this day... Ok la I should feel proud of myself.
Didn't have too much time to think about this since coming back from sg was a bit hectic, tying to bring kids' body clock back to US timing, meimei with her mild ear infection, and new job!

10 month pumping award
Although probably not going to get the 11th and 12th month pumping awards, but still happy to award myself with this!

Happy go lucky no more
The usually mild happy-go-lucky Olivia has a cold and is super fussy this week! May have hit her wonder week too.
She doesn't like to be laid down.
She doesn't like to drink milk.
She doesn't like it when someone leaves her alone.
She keeps waking up at night.
Super touchy.
The daycare says she's easy to feed and wants more milk! Is it!! I am skeptical.

Forgot
Sophie wanted to bring two books to school today. She wanted to squash one book inside a magazine because Jack at school did the same thing.
Ok... groans.
I'm not particularly a fan of sophie bringing stuff to school. It means one more thing for me to remember to bring home eventually.
In the midst of getting out of the house, she suddenly remembered she need her sunglasses. Arghz.
And then she ran out the door. Good, I thought, she forgot the books!
While I was reversing the car out of the garage, she suddenly shouted "我忘记拿我的书!!" followed by whines...
"Do you really need it?" I asked rhetorically.
"Yes (more whines...)"
It was a bit annoying but interesting that she grasped the concept of 忘记.

Zoo again
First time to zoo when sophie is not screaming!
Maybe she finally understands that there's a distance between the animals and her so they aren't that close anymore. Big milestone for the Soph!

Daddy's little girl
Today we were off to Ikea. Finally a chance to do some fun family shopping.
We saw the Ikea play room for parents to drop off their tots and daddy suggested to drop Soph off. Wah.
It looked cool and there were only a few kids since it was still early.
The lady asked if Soph was potty trained. Checked! Did she meet the height requirement? Double-check!
I asked Soph if she wanted to go in to play but we won't be able to be there with her. If she needs to pee, she needs to tell the attendant. Although a little apprehensive, Sophie quietly nodded.
She took her little bin with her shoes inside and walked in herself. Yay, I thought, some peaceful shopping.
Daddy had a fearful look though. He said "quick lets grab the stuff we need and come get her."
I thought he was the one who wanted to get rid of her and now he's super protective. Duh.
Anyway we zipped through the store as quickly as we could and came back. Sophie was at the table drawing.
She came out and looked normal. I asked her if she made friends with anyone and she said Ya she said hi to a little girl with a ponytail.
Daddy took her hand and with his bag of loot, he looked super proud of her new-found independence. Haha. Good job Soph!
