Taggie-tag

I want to document this before I forget when Soph is much older.
So everyone knows she loves sucking her two fingers right? That's her habit since like 4 months old?
Did you know she likes to flick the tag on the back of her clothes too? So she walks around with her left hand in her mouth and her right hand flicking the tag. We affectionately call these clothes tags - taggie-tags.
Wonder when she will fall flat on her face one day because she has no hands left to break her fall.
And when we give her something to wear that doesn't have a tag, she whines "这个没有taggie-tag...." And has to rummage through the dresser for something that has one. Duh.

Sophie's potty training

Finally we started Sophie on potty training two weeks ago. We bought her a set of panties and told her these were replacing the diapers over the weekend. She was kinda agreeable because her good friend Isabella at daycare is going to the potty already. Peer pressure!
Sophie started off pretty good although she was sick that weekend too. However, she peed twice outside at the Korean food court in her stroller while we were having dinner. Lucky I brought plenty of clothes to change!
Potty training continued at daycare after. A few accidents here and there but by the weekend, she was able to tell us that she wanted to go pee while we were outside. No more false alarms!
Pooping is still a problem though. She has some sort of phobia or maybe doesn't know how to poop. She tries but it doesn't come out. So she continues to poop in her panties. Arghz! It's gross washing them out so I've resorted to tossing a few panties. I hope she remembers to wash mine when I get old, haha!

Lactation cookies

Olivia is off to daycare starting this week. Miss Cheery seems pretty comfy at daycare, so far she hasn't shown any separation anxiety. I think when she's sick then she wants mom.
I finally have some time to make a batch of lactation cookies. The mixer noise always annoys her.

I used this recipe but halved the sugar.

They smell like beer+choc chip and taste slightly bitter because of the brewer's yeast. Also bought a bag of chia seeds to mix in drinks. Last ditch attempt to up my supply before heading back to work next week!
