Family fun night

Meyerholz has a family fun night where the principals would read stories and the kids got to decorate holiday cookies. Another fun activity night to bring the girls now that I don’t have to breastfeed anymore!

The girls looked like they had lots of fun. Sophie was pretty comfortable in her zone and went off with her friends without needing much supervision.
Our dear middle Olivia, who has been especially testy lately which i think is from her jealous heart of the baby, seemed happy to have mama for the night.

Here’s Ollie enjoying some cookies and listening to stories...

Sophie the mother ginger child

This was the Soph’s second ballet performance, this time at the Nutcracker. She performed as one of the Mother Ginger children. She was lucky to get a slightly meatier role since she could do a cartwheel. And she’s pretty good at it too!
After all the performances ended (she had 3 out of the 7 shows they had), she sighed and said she could perform more!

Baby Audrey Walks!

Definitely the strongest walker out of the 3 girls, she’s already up and running by 14 months!

13, 14, 15 breastfeeding award

I couldn’t find any award pictures for 13-15 months but I’m still giving them to myself anyway.
Finally saying goodbye to breastfeeding-feeling a little melancholic about the loss of closeness but also feeling glad from not having to pump at work anymore!
But that day when we went to the Westgate mall where I used to hang out with Audrey because it has a nursing room there, and I walked by it, I felt a little sad.

On the happier side of things, with the extra time freed up from not being stuck with the baby, I got to bring the girls to watch the frozen 2 movie on Thanksgiving Day!
I think the girls liked the treat. Although they were complaining about sitting too far front and the music was too loud. Sigh, first world problems.

9, 10, 11, 12 months breastfeeding awards

The time went by so fast, and summer vacation is almost over. Boohoo. I have the same feelings as a kid, dreading back to school days with homework and activities (although not mine), and my own additional work and dealing with traffic and cooking and the daily grind.
But at least we made some good memories in Singapore and the kids bonded with the gramps.
Atlas! Baby aud is almost ONE year old! And I have been missing awarding myself these.

Gold boobs soon?! That’s funny.

Happy Mother’s Day!

To me! (And my mom and sister and all other moms I know of course)
This mother’s day somehow seems different and special to me. It’s my first mother’s day as mother of 3. Hey, not many women can say that. This reminds me of the time when an old friend who was married and I was then single commented to me that since I’m not married I won’t understand her situation. Well since then I have passed that stage and much more, so there. Also juggling between work and trying to be there for the kids.
This past year has definitely been very trying. Having given birth a few days before the start of Sophie’s school and going back to work at 4 months post partum and lots of politics at work and also trying to make sure the middle child doesn’t feel so middle and waking up every 3h to feed the baby and still pumping at work and still breastfeeding and still popping 20 herb supplements a day means it’s very difficult to keep a sane mind. But through breaking down and thinking of giving up, I have survived it all to see my Mother’s Day this year.
Yesterday, the kids and dd surprised me with an orchid and flowers from Wholefoods. Coincidentally I also went there to buy an orchid for mil. This morning, Sophie got up early to help make me breakfast with daddy. Then she surprised me with a load of cards and handmade gifts in bed. I feel so blessed! Maybe enough energy to go...one more day haha!

7 months breastfeeding

Not easy to come so far!
After having a cold and teething recently, her appetite for bottles decreased a lot. So now at 3oz bottles at daycare, which is not that great of an amount, but maybe still ok since she nurses often after coming home. Yay cos I can build up my stash again.
Baby Audrey has really grown up a lot and gotten more accustomed to the daycare. Here she is, enjoying a ride in the buggy.
Loved by everyone in the family!
Just had her flu booster shot and hanging around at the doctor to see if there’s any allergic reaction. So far so good!

Yogurtland

We hardly go out as a fam. Because baby likes to cry in car seat. But when we do, we pig out.

5 month breastfeeding award

A little late in posting this but...

Yay turquoise boobs! Haha.

Last week was really miserable for me. It started off with cheek pain and ear pain so I went to the doc but it wasn’t ear infection. By then, I had difficulty opening my mouth to eat or brush my teeth.

Then a visit to the dentist and found out that my left upper wisdom tooth is kind of growing horizontally hence the pain. After much back and forth, I finally got to an oral surgeon who pulled out this thorn in my flesh in less than 5 minutes! Now I’m finally in the road to recovery...
