Not a Normal Woman

Unlike most women who can bring out their little tots and whisk out a boob when they are hungry, I enjoy no such luxury. For now, I only breastfeed with my right one, and use an SNS with my left one which produces close to nothing. S is three months old and most moms would have started venturing out for activities with their babies like yoga and play gym. However, because of the way I choose to feed S, it makes it difficult for me to venture out.

There are options though. I could breastfeed first then supplement with bottle. This will mean a long feeding time. And what if she doesn't take the bottle after the breast?
I could also just feed her a bottle outside. But this means my breasts get no stimulation. No stimulation=no milk.
I guess that's why I'm still mainly stuck at home.

There may be lots of support out there for breastfeeding mothers who work hard to maintain a full supply. But unfortunately there's a lack of support for the small percentage of us who are physically restrained, try just as hard, if not harder, but are unable to attain the same results.

Everyday, I pop twenty herb pills and pump after every feeding. Even though S has started sleeping through the night, I still force myself to wake up every three hours during the night to pump. It is extremely tiring. At the end of the day, I constantly remind myself that I am trying my best already, so I should be as guilt free as possible.
