What a weekend!

Sophie came down with a fever on Friday and stayed home. The fever soared to 104degF at times but she refuse to eat any medicine.
We tried to trick her:
1) added meds to fruit juice. She said its red colour so nope.
2) added meds to ice cream. Drizzled the red syrupy med on vanilla ice cream so it looks like raspberry swirl. She took one look and nope.
3) added meds to coconut juice. She took one sip and gave it back.
4) I poured myself a cup of coconut juice from the packet to prove its real and poured some more in her cup. She said "我要你的绿色杯”.
5) added meds to little bit of coconut juice in the packet and pretended I'm only pouring coconut juice directly to her cup. She wanted to pour out herself. She took one sip and said "不好喝”.
Epic fail. Does she really have an acute sense of taste or she's just sensitive to my shifty moves??

Saturday fever goes on. Still rather perky so just have to let the infection burn off by itself. Still ok with having yogurt and fruits in the morning.
She had one mouthful of porridge at lunch and started throwing up, like a Merlion it just spilling out. Luckily she had a bib on!

Saturday after midnight her nose just bled. Blood splattered everywhere on my arm, bed and pillow! I've not seen so much before! Of course she kept crying and didn't really let us squeeze her nose together. Time to throw away the pillow.

Finally she went back to sleep and at 5am suddenly woke up and screamed “我要大Apple!" Sounded like she wanted change of diaper and took a while for me to understand her. Must be hungry from not having much at dinner. So there goes, what an ordeal weekend. Doesn't help that my throat hurts like mad. I wonder what else there is in store.

Sophie's birthday ice cream treat

Can you believe she used to be the girl who didn't like ice-cream? We used to be able to eat desserts blatantly without having to share with her.
It's cold but now she loves it!!

Sophie in exercise mode

Sophie at swimming class. The first time she did great, the second time a little bit of whining, the third time she lasted only 5 minutes and escaped from the pool. The fourth time she was playing happily in the pool.
Pseudo paddling.
Pretending to relax.
She decided to move to higher ground where it's safer.
Until we told her it's time for swim class and she started wailing.
From the start to the end of the class screaming "我不想要!!" I don't think the teacher understood her haha.
Taking a drink while cycling. Sometimes, and many times, she gets lazy and wants us to push her along.

Pretend play

Sophie's really into pretend play these days. Of all the toys she received for her birthday, she wanted to open up the tea time trolley and the doctor kit first. And also her kiddy laptop. And she has been playing with them ever since.
Measuring dollie's heart beat. Tuk tuk. Tuk tuk.
Examining Dollie with the eye thing. Is it called a microscope or something? She learnt how to use it from seeing the doctor use it on Olivia. She said same as lady (the doctor is affectionately known as lady haha) use it.
Diligently scraping the sides of the bowl to feed Dollie. It's watermelon she says.
Bringing along her wares to the eye check up.
